BASIC NEEDS / UNFORESEEN HARDSHIP IMPACT AREA

Vision Statement: A strong community has the ability to respond to basic needs and needs developing because of unforeseen hardships of vulnerable individuals, families and groups.

The Community Outcomes are: (a) basic needs of all people in Northwest Louisiana can be met and (b) a safety net exists for support of basic needs and extenuating needs derived from unforeseen hardship.

The Basic Needs/Unforeseen Hardship Impact Council of United Way of Northwest Louisiana supports programs that address its major objectives focused on basic needs and issues surrounding unforeseen hardship (ex. services to provide food, shelter, clothing, utilities assistance, disaster response, and personal safety).
